Whether you simply want to relax with a massage in the spa, take a walking tour of some of the area’s historical villages, or perhaps take in some scenery, there is accommodation to suit you. Here’s a quick guide to the best accommodation in the area; the five star hotels in the Yorkshire Dales.

For around £1000/per night, you can choose to stay in the former residence of a royal princess at Goldsborough Hall in one of six luxurious suites, each of which has its own unique character. Five of the six suites come with a four-poster bed, and every one comes as standard with a huge en-suite bathroom including whirlpool bath and monsoon shower. Not to mention ivory leather chesterfield sofas, 50” plasma TVs, and an iPod/iPhone docking station. The hotel stands in historic landscaped grounds and is surrounded by parkland. For complete peace and isolation, the hotel is located by a small, quiet village, far away from the bustle of nearby towns. This is truly one of the most beautiful buildings in Britain that allows guests to stay, and an opportunity to experience the Yorkshire Dales at their best.

For five star luxury at a less extravagant price, Ashmount Country House is available for only around £200 per night. Located in the beautiful surroundings of Haworth, West Yorkshire, an area famed as the area in which the Bronte sisters grew up and which inspired so much of their work, Ashmount Country House offers its guests private outdoor hot tubs where they can relax with a glass of champagne and gaze at the the bright stars of the countryside. Some suites come with their own sauna cabin, while some have access to private patios and spa areas. For a five star romantic break at a great price, it’s unbeatable.

For the ultimate in luxury, however, you can rent Car Hall Castle in the Yorkshire Dales for around £2000 per night. Yes, that does mean rent the whole castle. For £2000 per night you have access to the entire property with five beautiful double bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool, gym and hot tub. Not to mention its six plasma screen TVs with satellite television, steam room, gigantic real log fire, or the private deer park estate that it’s set in. There is even a private lake with a working water wheel and romantic bridge attached to the property. To me this seems like one of the most romantic hotels Yorkshire has to offer and would make the perfect honeymoon destination, but you could also choose to invite some friends along; perhaps the wedding party. Renting Car Hall Castle is expensive, but for such a once in a lifetime experience, I would say it’s definitely worth it.
